EVENTS Garage Sale for Kids Helping Kids
Another young Ridgewood resident took up the challenge and collected funds during his Spring Garage Sale for Kids Helping Kids.  Cole Patterson along with his friends, was able to sell “gently used” items (toys were the biggest hit) to his neighbors and, at the same time, did a great job selling them on the idea of young volunteers helping kids in need.

  Naturally Yoga, A Natural Fit
A time of giving and divine sharing was enjoyed by everyone who attended a benefit at Naturally Yoga in Glen Rock, NJ.   A long-time supporter of Kids Helping Kids, owner and teacher Sheryl Edsall, hosted a two-hour class of heart soaring backbends taught by teacher, Damien, accompanied by our ever faithful friend Daniel McBride (see Walk’N Roll).  A potluck supper followed.  Namaste!
The Kids Helping Kids Annual Soccer Challenge Cup
The Annual Soccer Challenge Cup is always a big event for us. More kids participated this year from different area towns (including the state high school champions), raising the level of competition to a new high.  Local area sponsors were very supportive as always.  Our proceeds went to our continuing support of SLED HOCKEY.
SLED HOCKEY is a sport where well kids and disabled kids compete as equals… something that disabled kids never get to do.  This amazing sport where the participants sit in a sled and propel themselves with sticks on the ice can give kids the chance to feel complete for a little while. We are very dedicated to making sled hockey available to as many kids as possible.  Sled hockey is unique… it appeals as much to able-bodied kids as much as it does to the disabled.
